After spending money year after year on my CEUs, I began earnestly searching for free CEU opportunities. For me, it wasnt so much about the time spent away from work to complete the CEUs as it was the about the amount of money that I was spending. I finally spoke to someone in the education department at the hospital where I had recently started working and she told me about free CEU opportunities not only available in the community and online, but at the hospital as well.

I knew that other people had talked about take free CEU classes, but I thought that I had simply been lucky to find them. I didnt realize that there are literally hundreds of training opportunities available offered free of charge. When searching for free CEU opportunities, you need to be specific as to what type of classes you need as well as the location of classes. However, if you can be flexible with location, your opportunities will grow significantly.

One of the things that I have started doing is searching for free CEU courses or trainings in locations that I am planning to visit. For instance, if I know that I am going to visit my family in Florida, I will look for free CEU trainings close to their home. If I am going there anyway and I can attend a four-hour training for free, I dont let that opportunity pass me by. Other suggestions are to check with the education departments at hospitals close to you and to search for online free CEU courses. You should have no problem saving money if you are willing to invest just a short amount of your time searching for free opportunities.
